What is the CASAS Test?

As a WIOA, Title II funded agency, all Diploma and GED students at Huntington Beach Adult School are required to participate in CASAS testing. CASAS assessments are a state requirement that help support state and federal reporting requirements that allow us to offer FREE High School Diploma and GED programs.

The CASAS test is used as a placement test to see if your reading skills are at a high school level. We administer CASAS post-tests to students throughout the year to measure your progress and determine whether your reading skills are improving while taking classes.
