As our students graduate from our ESL and Diploma Programs, we want to encourage them to consider career training right at HBAS. That's why we opened our doors to showcase the many opportunities HBAS has to offer.
Over 65 prospective students from our ESL and Diploma programs attended our first ever CTE Open House! Students visited the Career Readiness, Pharmacy Technician and Medical Assistant classes and had the chance to talk with teachers and students. Outside the classrooms, students from the Allied Health Programs demonstrated skills such as blood pressure reading and mixing anti-inflammatory cream.
Our Job Developer and College and Career Specialist were also on hand to answer questions and give out our school catalog, brochures, registration forms and lots of delicious treats. Students came away with lots of great information, and many signed up to attend the next CTE information sessions.
Thanks to all of the administration, student support staff, CTE teachers and students who helped pull this event together.
