CPR and First Aid
BLS-Instructor Led Adult, Child, & Infant CPR with Heartsaver First Aid
Obtaining First Aid and CPR/AED Certification is Important!
100% classroom training means students are with an American Heart Association (AHA) Instructor for their entire learning experience. BLS CPR is the Instructor-led course that students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also complete a written exam. The BLS Course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Heartsaver® First Aid is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services arrives. Students learn duties and responsibilities of first aid rescuers; first aid actions for medical emergencies, including severe choking, heart attack, and stroke; and skills for handling injury and environmental emergencies, including external bleeding, broken bones and sprains, and bites and stings.
This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in Adult, Child, & Infant BLS CPR & first aid basics to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.
No refunds will be given for these classes due to the restricted class size, unless a class is cancelled by HBAS.
