The holiday season is a perfect time to show appreciation for our incredible community partners. The HBAS Student Support Services team hosted a CAC Meeting on October 26. Counselor Ashley Nguyen shared about the event:
"After two years of virtual CAC meetings, it feels wonderful to connect in person. HBAS shared program updates and resources and, most importantly, we strengthened relationships. Our school believes in building community. A huge part of this effort is collaborating with partners to leverage support and resources to help students achieve their goals.
HBAS takes pride in cultivating environments for students to thrive. With our partners, we foster relationships with students and the community because together we can be powerful agents of change. The HBAS team is forever grateful for the support of our amazing partners and their work to empower our community.
We give special thanks for three partners who shared about their work at our meeting:
- Juli Ann Quinn, President, RSA Bill Inc - Juli Ann talked about how RSA Bill (one of our medical billing externship sites) has hired several of our wonderful students.
- Jennifer Friend, CEO, and Jocelyn Balderrama, District Lead Case Manager, Project Hope Alliance - Jocelyn shared about serving homeless youths between the ages of 18-24.
- Joseph Navales, Esq. Managing Attorney, Asian Americans Advancing Justice SoCal - Joseph talked about AJSOCAL's great partnership with HBAS and promoted the October citizenship clinic at Gothard."
